Great Garlic Press

I recently managed to throw out my garlic press which was probably the only way it was going to get replaced as I liked it a lot. It was therefore a tough act to follow. I chose this one becuase it looked similar, being strong and easy to clean. So far it lives up all of those requirements and works much the same way so I am very happy with it. The arms are of a decent length so that crushing it is quite easy. In any case over filling with garlic just makes it harder as it is quicker to do just 1-2 at a time. Add loads of butter, and into the microwave for some garlic bread. I do most of the cooking at home and am quite picky but this garlic press is a winner. It washes up easily as well, or if I am being a bit lazy I have been just rinsing it under the hot water tap.

Great design and construction!
Have used this quite a few times so far. Its very sturdy, and presses garlic with ease. Only the thinnest layer of skin is left to clean out. Well worth the little extra money this costs knowing it is stainless steel, will never rust, and has no coating to chip off. I have used several different lower priced presses. I always manager to break them by pressing too hard. This is a keeper!

Awesome!!!-Bru Joy Garlic Press
The Bru Joy Garlic Press is absolutely the best press I’ve used (and I’ve had a few). Solid construction, perfect leverage to press multiple garlic cloves at one time, stainless steel, easy to clean with the swivel out head! You’ll never have to buy another garlic press again and cooking with fresh garlic is now so easy and makes a significant difference in the taste of your meals (so much better than the bottled minced garlic)! I always used the bottled garlic in my recipes in the past because I didn’t want to hassle with fresh garlic. Now it’s so easy to use fresh garlic and your hands don’t smell all day. Would highly recommend this garlic press from Bru Joy.

Best garlic press I have owned
This is great! I am really pleased with this press. I have owned probably 6 or 7 presses and this is by far the best. I have very weak hands and wrists and suffer from chronic pain, and this is the easiest press to use. It’s very efficient, easy to clean, and presses large cloves easily. I have only had it about a month, but so far it seems to be very sturdy and rust-proof. I haven’t put it in the dishwasher, I just rinse it well after use. I would highly recommend it, even if you don’t have weak hands! I paid $25 for it, and it was well worth the money.

Excellent garlic press and you can even crush cloves that are not peeled!
This is a very nice garlic press. It is made of stainless steel and we found it very easy to use and to clean. In my video I press two garlic cloves that have not been peeled. That way you don’t have to peel the clove and get your hands smelling of garlic. The results were amazing and even not peeled the cloves were minced quickly and thoroughly. (Please see the video.)

The press does require you to at least start the crushing process using two hands as the handles of the press are quite far away when you are crushing larger cloves. After you are partially done pressing the garlic you can use one hand. The ergonomic handles were comfortable and easy to use.

Press is strongly built and the flip out basket made it easy to rinse out the press. After pressing the garlic 90%+ of the cleanup was done by simply rinsing the press in warm water for a few seconds. I gave it two or three swipes with a cleaning brush and it was as clean as new. The unit comes with the cleaning brush included. This unit is dish washer safe and of course we will always clean it with hot soapy water or in the dish washer. I just did the quick rinse to see how hard it was to clean it up.

This is a good product and I rated it at 5 stars.

I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation. A review was not promised to the supplier in exchange for the sample but I stated that if I provided a review that it would be fair and honest.

Amazing garlic press
This is by far the best garlic press I have ever purchased. It is very durable, and doesn’t waste any garlic like my previous purchases. I will never buy another brand. And it really does an excellent job with unpeeled cloves. Amazing!!

Best I have owned
No need to skin the garlic! Gets 90+% of the meat. No small pieces to lose. Cleans easily! Actually is easier to clean if you DO NOT peel the garlic first. Great leverage. Hefty. Large garlic hopper. Worth it.

You Have Won Me Over!!
I was a skeptic. Received the press as a Christmas present. Looked at it and could not believe that it would work as stated. As I am making Christmas dinner, thought I would give it a try. Place a clove of garlic, unpeeled, in to the receptacle and pressed the handles together and out came the meat. Scraped it in the bowl, opened the handles and there was the “skin”. Used a paring knife to empty. Did it again with a couple more and it worked as advertised. Would definitely recommend, works well.

Holds up well and easily washed in the dishwasher
Almost any press will extrude garlic. Some are harder to clean (this one is pretty easy), and many bend or crack under the high pressures to which they are subjected (after a couple of months this one shows no signs of degradation). Very easily cleaned in the dishwasher, and easy to extract the peels (if you don’t remove them beforehand).

Beautiful Garlic Press, works well. The large chamber is nice. Removes the peel for you!
My husband loves garlic and uses it when frequently he is cooking. I rarely cook with it myself as it is messy, strong smelling, and even the simple act of peeling it can make your fingers smell even after washing well with soap and water. We have not owned a garlic press before and usually would either hand crush with a knife or use the store bought crushed garlic in a jar (which often is not from the US.)

Fresh Garlic is always best. I had the opportunity to try out a garlic press from Bru Joy. They are the same company that make the Julienne Style Veggie Peeler and the Stainless Steel Can Opener. The company is great and their customer service is stellar.

We tried this Bru Joy garlic press 2 different ways: first without the skin, and then with the skin. Unfortunately we learned the quick and easy secret AFTERWARD. I myself had never used a garlic press, but it looked simple enough and so I peeled the garlic for what seemed like a very long time. It was a smelly process and the clove had lots of peel to remove. Once I thought it was fully peeled, I inserted the clove, grasped the ergonomically round handles, and squeezed. It did take some strength to do the initial crush (I had to use both hands) but after the first crush of the garlic, I was able to use one hand and continue crushing. I found this easy to use, however, I found that I did have a messier cleanup this first time and some of the garlic skin was remained. The big capacity garlic chamber makes it easy to put in varying sizes of garlic.

The second time I used this, I decided to try it without peeling. This was obviously a much better experience as I was not standing there peeling and inhaling strong garlic fumes while coating my fingers in stench. I also appreciated that the garlic crushed much easier and cleaner when I left the skins on. I was able to crush it, and then open it and use a butter knife to lift out the remaining EMPTY skin. I also used the butter knife to slice off the remaining garlic still on the press and transfer it into the bowl. This second process (leaving the skin on) was quicker and I had less contact with the garlic.

I was happy to be able to use the included cleaning brush as I still needed something to clean out the little holes in the strainer. I do think it would be neat and easier if there was a pick type gadget on the opposite end of the included brush (or as an additional separate tool) to poke remaining garlic out of the holes when cleaning. I cleaned the press with the brush, then ran it under hot water at the sink, and put it in the top rack of the dishwasher. The manufacturer states that this will never rust or break, and gives a 100% risk free, money back guarantee. I have only had it about 3 weeks, but it is working great so far for me.

I like how attractive this press is. It is sturdy and seems to be of top quality. The neatest feature is that it removes the peel for you, thus reducing the smell of garlic on your hands.

I feel reviews help those interested make an informed decision before purchasing. I also feel that honest and informative reviews improve a product by providing insight to the company.
